The small-bore beginner-bike category is bursting at the seams. In the last few years we’ve seen an influx of exciting new bikes including Kawasaki’s $4,999 Ninja 300, Honda’s $4,399 CBR300R, Yamaha’s $4,990 R3, and KTM’s $5,499 RC390.

Yamaha YZF R3 is the latest bike to enter the 300cc Sportbike market. This is a spicy little sportbike, and one Yamaha suggests makes the most power in its class. And to prove its 41,4 Horsepower claims, Let us see YZF R3 Dynotest results. And also the comparison with other 300cc sportbike. How does it compare to the competition ? Here’s how they stack up.

Watch the dyno run by motorcyclist-online above. The Yamaha’s 37.3 Horsepower @ 10.800 rpm and 20.0 pound-feet (27 N.m) of torque @ 9,200 rpm is pretty impressive, much higher than Honda’s 27,7 Horsepower, and also Kawasaki Ninja 300’s 34,5 Horsepower @ 11.000 rpm.

However, Yamaha YZF R3 is not able to defeat the KTM RC390 / Duke 390 SIngle-Cyl. hich both sisters is capable to gain 40,5 Horsepower @ 8.800 rpm and 24,9 pound-feet (33,7 N.m) of torque @ 7.000 rpm.
